Early exposure information shows that the new generation of BMW M5 will provide 8 free optional car paints, including Flame red, Isle of Man green, Snow Mountain white, carbon black, gem blue, Mystery gray, Brooklyn gray, Marina Bay Blue, as well as paid optional car paint personalized storm gray (about 28,000 yuan), frosted dark gray (about 50,000 yuan), and more personalized customized special coating options. The new car will be available in five rim tire combinations, all in front 20-inch and rear 21-inch specifications.

In terms of power, the new generation of BMW M5 uses the same plug-in hybrid system as the BMW XM, consisting of a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine and an electric motor, with a maximum engine power of 430 kW, a peak torque of 750 nm, a maximum motor power of 145 kW, and a nominal peak torque of 280 nm. The comprehensive maximum output power of the new car reaches 535 kW, the comprehensive peak torque reaches 1000 N · m, and the acceleration time of the whole vehicle 0-100 km/h is 3.5 seconds, which is the fastest production car in active service of BMW in China.
